• The plant watering device is made from terracotta clay. The clay stake is porous. When you put the bottle full of water in the stake, it takes a little while for the water to soak through the porous clay. If the dirt around the stake is dry, the water automatically wicks from the clay into the dirt, and the water keeps wicking out into the dirt until the dirt is saturated with water, or until the bottle is empty.

Warm reminder

• Be careful when inserting – the Terracotta stakes are fragile & can break if handled roughly
• Moisten your plant mix/soil well before adding your plant stakes.
• Prep the stakes by soaking them in water for at least 5 -10minutes.
• Take any long neck bottle and fill it with water.
• Gently place a terracotta stake on top of the now filled bottle.
• Flip over the bottle and carefully place the stake at least 3/4 of the way into the moistened soil.

Tips:

• Plant Watering Stakes self watering spikes in water before use.Don’t put too heavy bottle on the ceramic watering spikes unless you have a deep pot or it may cause the pot to tip. For small pot, you can use a smaller bottle.
